ROLE SUMMARY

With the latest approval of the novel non-factor asset, HYMPAVZI (marstacimab) expanding Pfizer’s non gene therapy hemophilia portfolio, this role will be pivotal in coordinating the strategic alignment and portfolio coordination for the consumer marketing execution across the franchise. HYMPAVZI is a transformative agent for hemophilia that promotes clotting activity by targeting an anticoagulant protein called tissue factor pathway inhibitor (TFPI). It has the potential to significantly enhance patients’ treatment experience in both Hem A and Hem B. Refining the appropriate patient target segment for the established factor franchise (BenFIX and XYNTHA) while targeting other patient segments for the HYMPAVZI launch will be paramount for this role. The factor replacement franchise serves as a critical foundation and base for Pfizer future growth within Hemophilia. This role will define strategies to maximize patient retention on factor franchise while supporting activation of other patients for HYMPAVZI.  The role will undertake matrix lead responsibility across the portfolio aligning with other patient marketers and cross functional stakeholders to optimize the patient impact. The ideal candidate will bring strong consumer marketing expertise, RD or specialty care experience, and a demonstrable ability to build and execute strategies and initiatives that maximize consumer engagement and activation while tracking outcome metrics.

The director will be responsible for Consumer strategy development and tactical execution of personal and non-personal promotion to hemophilia patients and broader patient community.  This role will manage complexities across the portfolio dealing with both Hem A and Hem B dynamics and factor and  non factor MOAs and will devise critical strategies to maintain the Hem non GTx portfolio connection with the patient community

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will take a lead role in executing franchise branded and non-branded strategies, engagements, and tactics for both HYMPAVZI and factor brands. The role requires strong marketing execution, communication, and decision-making skills, change agility, and a proven track record of success working in a team-based environment with multiple marketing, medical, and other cross-functional partners.

  • Develop strategy and lead implementation of consumer marketing tactics and initiatives. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Drive patient activation and interest for HYMPAVZI across the consumer journeys, identify insights, issues, opportunities, and critical success factors to facilitate exceptional consumer experiences
  • Develop consumer launch campaigns and marketing programs to support the launch and seamless adoption of HYMPAVZI
  • Define optimal patient segmentation for BeneFIX and XYNTHA to drive revenue maximization and strong brand retention
  • Generate patient testimonials and narrative sharing to elevate the brand experience for Hem portfolio
  • Assume matrix lead responsibility for consumer providing strategic guidance to team senior marketing manager and coordination with other Hem consumer Marketers to drive cohesive franchise development
  • Lead efforts to develop innovative and integrated portfolio strategies and tactics/programs to reach consumers effectively and efficiently
  • Partner with GTx marketers to define Hemophilia consumer segmentation to drive targeted and effective messages
  • Develop high impact consumer initiatives leveraging omnichannel strategies, delivering on defined engagement goals and achieving measured ROIs
  • Identify key insights and effective consumer messaging in partnership with business analytics and insights partners
  • Ensure consumer materials/claims/messaging are aligned with the brand strategic positioning , address unmet consumer needs, and differentiate vs competition
  • Lead patient advocacy and media partnerships to maintain brand relevance and maximal value in the hemophilia marketplace
  • Leverage health literacy best practices to develop and/or co-create consumer materials that are authentic and relevant to consumer needs and are actionable, understandable, and appropriate
  • Lead the consumer agency and promotional budget prioritizing investments and trade-offs across the factor portfolio and HYMPAVZI
  • Ensure appropriate synergies and alignment of Consumer marketing plans with overall brand strategies for both factor and HYMPAVZI across indications, Op Plans and tactical plans
  • Assist with leadership deliverables and presentations, including providing routine updates on consumer marketing metrics and campaign performance

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS Degree Required, MBA or other advanced degree highly desirable
  • 10 years U.S. pharmaceutical experience preferred.
  • Experience in consumer marketing strategy; digital as well as more traditional communication channel tactics
  • Proven record of identifying customer needs, extracting key insights, and translating these into meaningful value propositions and tactics
  • Demonstrated success in independently developing, executing, and measuring cross channel marketing program
  • Demonstrated success executing complex marketing programs
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with varied internal stakeholders to improve business performance
  • Demonstrated track record of achievement and of influencing business outcomes across diverse functional boundaries
  • Demonstrated ability to manage advertising and other agencies to produce communications that impact business performance
  • Solid business acumen and organizational skills with excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills for a wide variety of audiences, including senior management.
  • Strong analytical skills; detail and action oriented; creative.
  • Experience with product positioning and branding is required
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively both one-on-one and in groups.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $161,600.00 to $269,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
