£83,000 - £90,000 per annum plus benefits

Reports to: Director of Marketing and Supporter Engagement

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time 35 hours per week

Location: Stratford, London Office-based with high flexibility (1-2 days per week in the office)

We have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Head of Brand & Marketing Planning. This is a unique opportunity to drive transformation by shifting to a more audience led, performance and data driven strategy.

You will lead the overall marketing strategy and processes across the organisation, focusing on audience-driven approaches to marketing planning. The role champions modern marketing practices, ensuring a unified, centralised view of all marketing, creative, and digital activities. Responsibility also lies in overseeing the measurement of marketing effectiveness and defining marketing priorities based on strategic direction. This includes developing the CRUK brand and managing the marketing budget, along with maintaining key relationships with external agencies and internal stakeholders.

What will I be doing?

  • Lead the cross-portfolio briefing process which includes all marketing activity and have ownership of the overall marketing budget

  • Work collaboratively with the audience team and other cross org planning leads to translate overall MFE strategy and product objectives into prioritised, cross- portfolio marketing objectives and KPIs.

  • Develop the CRUK brand strategically and creatively, working closely with peer group to drive brand clarity, relevance and engagement

  • Ensure an audience-led approach to marketing, ensuring we are being supporter-led while maximising our marketing impact

  • Work with the Data Director and Marketing Performance Snr Manager team to have a single framework for marketing measurements & performance

  • Work with the Preferred Supplier List (PSL) & Commercial Snr Manager and Procurement team to take a pro-active approach to managing our PSL

What skills are you looking for?

  • Proven experience of leading marketing teams and managing brands, working across a range of projects for multiple audience groups

  • Significant experience of end-to-end supporter journeys and the role of different marketing channels in fully integrated campaigns

  • Experience working in large matrix organisations managing high budgets of 30 million+.

  • Ability to build collaborative relationships, communicate effectively and influence a wide range of individuals both internally and externally

  • Managing large scale change programmes for marketing

  • Significant experience of managing and motivating agencies to derive maximum value from relationships.
