What’s The Role About: 

We are seeking someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and possesses strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to managing and improving data processes. They should be a collaborative team player, capable of effectively communicating findings and recommendations to support the organization’s data-driven decision-making.

The right candidate will be be highly curious and skilled in data management. The candidate must be familiar working with relational databases, including querying multiple tables to find results for stakeholders. Strong organizational and documentation skills are essential, with the ability to build standard operating procedures (SOPs), update data catalogs, and record meeting minutes accurately.

A key responsibility will be managing data cleanliness, thus the candidate should have a keen eye for detail and the ability to ensure data accuracy. Moreover, the right candidate will be responsible for gathering data insights, producing weekly revenue, inventory, and pricing reports, and analyzing survey results. They will need to collaborate closely with team analysts and operations coordinators to review these reports and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.

 

Some things you will be responsible for: 

  • Monitoring Data/IT errors and alerting data team
  • Moving manual data transfers 
  • Documentation - SOPs & Data Catalog
  • Master Data Management
  • Revenue & Logistics Insights Gathering

Some qualifications and skills we need you to have: 

  • Previous experience working in eCommerce and DTC
  • 2+ years working with cloud data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, or Redshift
  • Previous experience working with a data visualization tool, Power BI preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • A self-starter who is motivated and able to work independently

 

Some qualifications and skills that are an added bonus:

  • Prior experience working in a start-up environment
  • Prior experience in Cannabis
  • Masters in Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Data Science or other quantitative field

 

The budgeted compensation for this role for candidates based in CA is $25 hourly.

This is a full-time internship for 3-6 months, starting ASAP; 40 hours a week.

This hybrid role is based out of our Los Angeles HQ and requires in office work 2 days per week.
