How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

As a Production Operator 1 , you will be inspecting and filling cylinders with different types of gas. You will operate a forklift to move pallets of cylinders.

JOB DUTIES AND INFORMATION

WORK SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm

Sets pressure gauge to specified reading and watches for indication of full cylinders.

Adjusts valves and observes gauge to fill cylinder to specified pressure.

Observes scale indicator to fill cylinders to specified weight.

ills cylinder to full capacity, rolls cylinder onto scale and connects vent line to release excess gas and attain prescribed weight.

Rolls cylinders onto platform, or positions cylinders in manifold racks manually or with the aid of material handling equipment.
Tests gas for purity using testing equipment.
Inspects or tests empty cylinders.
Examines exterior of cylinder for surface defects such as dents, cracks, or burns, and deciphers whether or not to quarantine the cylinder for further inspection.
Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets.

Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.

Strong level of attention to detail.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.

Ability to perform very heavy work – routinely lifts 25 – 75 lbs., and occasionally lifts 76 to greater than 100 lbs.
