The Project Manager / System Administrator is a core member of the centralized Marketing and Brand Experience Project Management Office (PMO), responsible for leading Tier 2 and Tier 3 initiatives, with support on select Tier 1 efforts, from intake through delivery. The role will play a key role in scaling delivery across the communications and marketing function at Leidos.
In addition to project delivery, this role is responsible for administering and maintaining the PMO’s project management tool (Workfront). The role ensures intake forms, workflows, statuses, templates, and reporting structures are accurate, consistent, and aligned to PMO standards.
This position partners closely with Brand, Marketing, Creative Studio, Digital, Experience, and internal and external business partners to support efficient execution while maintaining the systems and processes that enable scalable delivery across the communications and marketing function at Leidos.
Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Execution (30%)
- Lead Tier 2 and Tier 3 initiatives from intake through completion
- Support delivery of select Tier 1 initiatives under guidance of senior PMO leadership
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and task-level coordination
- Track milestones, dependencies, risks, and issue resolution across workstreams
- Ensure initiatives deliver against defined objectives, timelines, and success metrics
PMO System Administration (35%)
- Administer and maintain the PMO’s project management tool (Workfront), including intake forms, workflows, statuses, templates, and user access
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and hygiene across projects and portfolios
- Support configuration updates to improve usability, reporting, and efficiency
- Partner with PMO leadership to implement system enhancements aligned to evolving processes
- Serve as a point of contact for system-related questions, troubleshooting, and guidance
Intake, Planning & Prioritization Support (20%)
- Support intake review, scoping, and tiering in partnership with the PMO
- Translate approved requests into actionable project plans
- Ensure work entering execution is clearly defined, approved, and ready
Tools, Reporting & Process Adherence (15%)
- Support PMO reporting, dashboards, and portfolio visibility
- Reinforce PMO workflows, templates, and delivery standards
- Identify opportunities to streamline delivery through improved system use
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field and 8+ years of experience in project management, marketing operations, or a related discipline. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree requirements.
- Experience managing cross-functional marketing, creative, or digital initiatives
- Hands-on experience administering or configuring project management tools (Workfront preferred)
- Strong understanding of intake workflows, project tiering, and reporting structures
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and strong systems thinking
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives and system responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative mindset with comfort supporting cross-functional teams

Pay Range:
Pay Range $82,550.00 - $149,225.00
