Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Poland is currently hiring Associate System Support Engineers (Aircraft Spare Parts) to support our Boeing Global Services (BGS) Supply Chain Engineering team in Gdansk, Poland.

 BGS Supply Chain Engineering is responsible for providing engineering data and support to the airlines, operators, BGS Supply Chain and other Boeing teams on spare parts to support their operations. The ideal candidate will have a high attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality. The candidate will need to be a team player who works well with subject matter experts and others toward a common goal. The candidate will need to have the ability to prioritize and complete work assignments in a timely manner. The candidate will need strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with diverse individuals at all levels to address engineering and technical requests and develop and implement solutions.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Researches and analyzes engineering drawings, specifications, technical manuals, and supplier data to identify and document spare prone parts, attributes and interchangeability requirements

  • Reviews and analyzes Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins and design engineering changes to determine the impact to spare parts

  • Provide engineering support, solutions and responses to customer and supplier inquiries and requests related to spare parts

  • Support new and derivative airplane programs to define new spare prone parts and develop unique spares configurations for complex assemblies

  • Participate on cross-functional teams to provide Spares Engineering support to improve our product, services, processes and tools to support our customers and the commercial spares business

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the listed location. During the first 90 days (probation period) 100% onsite presence is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 2 or more years' related work experience

  • Upper-intermediate level of English

  • Experience in reading, researching and understanding engineering drawings

  • Familiar with the main principles of work with databases and software products

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • Experience with bill of materials, specifications and technical manuals

  • Experience working in a cross functional environment

  • Solid understanding of main principle units of aircraft, systems and parts

  • Knowledge of form, fit and functions of various systems, parts / assemblies, equipment

Typical Education:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master).
