Job SummaryThis position in Strategic Sourcing Specialist will have focus on managing supplier contract compliance. Contract compliance responsibilities include monitoring and managing supplier compliance to existing contracts and agreements. This position will have responsibilities to include supplier risk reduction, sourcing and the negotiation of new agreements.
Essential Functions- Managing relationships with suppliers of build-to-print assemblies and off-the-shelf components.
- Monitoring performance per key contractual requirements to ensure that the obligations specified in supply agreements are being satisfied.
- Ensuring that organizational obligations to suppliers are met in accordance with contractual agreements.
- Identifying and managing potential supply risks in accordance with risk management policies and procedures.
- Investigating and resolving non-compliance concerns in accordance with contractual terms.
- Supporting negotiations related to contract renewals and changes.
- Maintaining communication regarding performance to contract with all stakeholders.
- Travel of up to 30% is required. Most travel is regional/domestic in nature, with limited international travel.
- Create, implement and maintain supply chain strategies that optimize the performance of the supply chain.
- Develop requests for information (RFI), requests for proposal (RFP), and requests for quotation (RFQ) as needed to support the engagement and qualification of new suppliers.
- Generate statements of work (SOW) that clearly define deliverables for ZOLL and its suppliers.
- Identify and implement opportunities for improvements within the supply chain.
- Remain current on commodity and market conditions and take proactive measures to protect supply.
- Develop relationships with the design community and provide support for new product development.
- Engage suppliers early in the development process to optimize costs and to maximize the manufacturability of product designs.
- Support supplier quality personnel in implementing supplier corrective actions.
- Manage supplier strategic business reviews; monitor progress on any resulting action items.
- Research, evaluate, and qualify suppliers based on technical competence, capacity, support, availability, reliability, and the supplier's reputation and history.
- Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data to determine if pricing is reasonable.
- Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
- Review commercial terms and conditions, claims and contracts to ensure value and conformance to company policy.
- Monitor and follow applicable laws and regulations.
- Arrange for disposal of surplus materials.
Required/Preferred Education and Experience- Degree in Business Management or Supply Chain required and
- MBA a plus required
- Experience in negotiation of supply agreements and other contracts a plus
required and
- 3-5 years of relevant purchasing/procurement experience required and
- Project Management experience a plus preferred and
- Procurement experience in a manufacturing environment (electronics and/or electro-mechanical)
required
