Lumentum is looking for an experienced Sr. Product Applications Analyst to join our Brazil team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-level development projects, applying all your X-Ray and Spectroscopy expertise to conduct tests and propose new solutions. You will also be responsible for delivering high-level technical support to our clients, ensuring the effective implementation and optimization of our cutting-edge technologies. 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Develop, implement, and optimize analysis techniques based on X-ray and spectroscopy for specific applications. 
  • Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams to integrate X-ray and spectroscopy solutions into products and processes. 
  • Provide specialized technical support to customers, including installation, calibration, and maintenance of spectroscopy and X-ray equipment. 
  • Conduct experiments and interpret data to provide scientific insights and practical solutions to technical challenges. 
  • Train and educate customers and internal teams on the proper use and best practices related to X-ray and spectroscopy systems. 
  • Collaborate on research and development projects for new products and technologies. 
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in X-ray and spectroscopy technologies. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in physics, Engineering Physics, or related fields; a master’s or Ph.D. is a plus. 
  • Proven experience with X-ray techniques (diffraction, fluorescence, etc.) and spectroscopy (UV-Vis, Raman, etc.). 
  • Ability to operate, calibrate, and maintain X-ray and spectroscopy equipment.
  • Experience in data analysis and interpretation of experimental results. 
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues clearly and effectively. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with data analysis software (e.g., OCTAVE, Python, etc.). 
  • Track record of scientific publications or patents in the field of X-ray and spectroscopy. 
  • Experience in industrial or laboratory environments with a focus on practical applications.
