Our regional support center provides resources to our hotels for multiple areas including Human Resources, Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Security, Group Reservations, Guest Contact Center, Information Technology, Laundry and Communications.

What We’re Looking For:

The Director of Learning and Development is a key strategic role responsible for overseeing, developing, and implementing effective training programs across 11 hotel properties, 2 commercial laundry facilities and a central support team. The successful candidate will partner closely with corporate teams to align on both tactical and strategic training objectives. This role requires a strong ability to influence at all levels, ensuring training initiatives are tailored to meet the operational needs of each property while supporting the company’s broader goals. The ideal candidate will have experience designing or adapting training materials for high-volume attendance to maximize engagement and effectiveness. Additionally, this role will lead and develop a team of trainers to ensure consistent program delivery and support across all properties.

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate with corporate training and HR teams to align property-level training initiatives with corporate strategy, ensuring seamless execution of both theoretical and practical training across all locations.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of training specialists across the region, fostering a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement and excellence in training delivery.
  • Design, customize, or modify training sessions, workshops, and materials to suit the unique needs of each property while adhering to brand standards.
  • Ensure that all new hires at each hotel are effectively onboarded, trained, and certified according to company standards. Develop a seamless training experience that supports employee engagement and retention.
  • Serve as a training advocate within the region, influencing property leaders and staff at all levels to adopt and prioritize learning and development.
  • Work closely with hotel General Managers and department heads to ensure training programs are aligned with operational goals, guest service standards, and productivity expectations.
  • Conduct regular needs assessments at each property to identify training gaps and opportunities. Adjust training approaches based on operational challenges, high-volume periods, and other unique property needs.
  • Ensure training programs can accommodate high attendance, developing solutions that maintain engagement and learning outcomes even in large groups.
  • Establish and track training effectiveness through metrics, feedback, and KPIs to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Support individual employee growth, ensuring that training programs contribute to employee retention, skill enhancement, and readiness for advancement within the organization.

Your Experience Includes:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a training or learning and development leadership role, ideally in the hospitality or service industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing training programs across multiple properties, preferably in a multi-unit hotel or resort environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team of trainers, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high standards of program delivery.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities, including the capacity to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in training content design and customization to fit high-volume and varied learning environments.
  • Knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theory.
  • Willingness to travel to various properties as needed.
