Job Summary:

The Cloud Developer Engineer II is responsible for to design, build and maintain cloud-native applications and services. This role requires strong foundation in software development, engineering principles and an understanding of cloud platforms. This role will work closely with cross functional teams to develop scalable, resilient and efficient cloud-based solutions that will drive business innovation.

Essential Functions:

  • Design, build and deploy cloud-native applications and microservices using modern programming languages and frameworks.
  • Implement serverless architectures using Azure Functions.
  • Develop APIs and integrate them with cloud platforms to support scalable and secure application communication.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate code deployment.
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory implementation.
  • Leverage Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform to provision and manage cloud resources.
  • Optimize application performance, resource utilization and cost efficiency in cloud environments.
  • Monitor, Debug and troubleshoot application issues in production and non-prod Environments.
  • Integrate security best practices into application development.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards during development and deployment.
  • Collaborate with product owners, cloud architects to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for application designs, APIs and workflows.
  • Explore and implement new tools, frameworks and technologies to enhance application performance and development efficiency.
  • Participate in code reviews and promote best practices in software development and cloud engineering.
  • Responsible for generating and maintaining IT standards and procedures.
  • Work within an iterative approach methodology
  • Performs any other job duties as requested

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required
  • Master’s degree is preferred
  • Six (6) years’ experience in related areas including two (2) years of Azure experience designing and supporting large scale cloud environments
  • Experience scripting skills with languages such as python
  • Experience setting up and optimizing CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab, Github Action)
  • Experience developing and implementing Web technologies, Micro Services, Restful APIs, Integration/Middleware technologies, and real-time Complex Event Processing.

  • Healthcare Experience is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools, scripting, programming and automated testing tool sets.
  • Knowledge of running and maintaining containers and using tools such as Docker or Kubernetes in Production
  • Understanding of various services and solutions - SaaS, IaaS, PaaS including all cloud models (public, private, hybrid, multi)
  • Ability to lift and shift existing applications to public, private, hybrid and multi-cloud environments
  • Proficient understanding of source code management tools (e.g. Git)
  • Knowledge of Cloud Native coding and development.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Innovative and pioneering spirit.

Licensure and Certification:

  • Azure Dev Associate certifications preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time

Compensation Range:

$69,400.00 - $111,000.00
