About the Role

Leads, develops and implements effective distribution management strategies to achieve sustainable business goals

The location of position is in Brunei Darussalam.

  • Strategize, align and implement company-wide business initiatives to achieve its key result areas in Annualized New Business and Value of New Business, Quality Recruitment and Retention, Agency expansion through leadership building and bancassurance channel
  • Lead, supervise and develop a professional team of Business Development Management to achieve business goals through team performance.
  • Proactively engage producers regularly to build a strong partnership, relationships and uphold morale.
  • Organize events, marketing and design programs to communicate and inculcate desirable sales behavior in all channels towards achieving key result areas and objectives.
  • Uphold high standard of work ethic and professionalism through development and enforcing performance standards to promote business quality.
  • Identify and nurture aspiring producers with leadership quality for career advancement.
  • Proactively manage risk and compliance matters for one’s role. Actions to achieve these include complying with regulatory requirements and Company’s policies, standards and procedures. Escalate the reporting of incidents or issues promptly and work with stakeholders to remediate. Attend mandatory risk and compliance in a timely manner.
  • This role also performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by the immediate manager to meet business requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree holder preferably with knowledge of life insurance and in-depth knowledge of industry’s operations, regulations and guidelines.
  • Preferably come with 10 years of work experience in the insurance or financial industry managing sales and distributions.
  • Strong leadership, coaching and influencing skills; strong business acumen; effective change management skills; problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Highly disciplined, independent, organised, result-oriented and analytical.
  • Ability to engage, influence and build strong working relationships with all stakeholders to better team synergy and achieve desirable and positive outcomes. Resilient, self-motivated and able to adapt in fast paced environment
