Project Manager

We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic Project Manager to lead and oversee multiple furniture product development projects from concept to launch. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in consumer product goods (CPG) and project management, coupled with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, international suppliers, and manufacturers. This role requires exceptional communication skills, efficiency with Microsoft Project, and a strong background in project management methodologies.

This is how you can contribute to our success (Responsibilities):

• Lead end-to-end project management for new furniture product development cycles, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverables using Smartsheets and any other new software implemented.
• Schedule and lead project kickoff meetings, status updates, and reviews to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
• Monitor project progress, manage risks, and implement contingency plans as needed.
• Work closely with internal teams, including design, marketing, sales, and operations, to align project goals and deliverables and to resolve any issues/delays in project launches.
• Facilitate clear and effective communication across all levels of the organization, fostering a culture of collaboration and transparency.
• Regularly update stakeholders on project status, milestones, and potential challenges.
• Coordinate and lead cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment on goals and priorities.

 

 

Qualifications/Functional/Technical Competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree in project management, business, engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within consumer product goods (CPG), ideally in furniture or related industries.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, Smartsheets and other project management tools.
• Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems and supply chain processes.
• Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is strongly preferred.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively manage international relationships.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority.
• Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Hands-on experience working with international teams, suppliers, and manufacturers, including knowledge of import/export processes.
• Awareness of cultural nuances and the ability to navigate global business environments effectively.
• Experience in the furniture industry or home goods sector.
