Job Purpose:
To lead the global team of Regional Customer Supply Chain Tech Partners (currently x5 people). The role is accountable for driving the strategy, delivery and adoption of tech solutions across Customer Supply Chain globally to realise business value through improved supply chain performance. It ensures that all work performed by team is focused on Value and Quality, as well as partnering with Tech Product Managers to collectively ensure the product vision is effectively managed and prioritized at the regional level.
Key Responsibilities:
The Global Customer Supply Chain Tech Director acts as the single point of accountability for the overall delivery of Tech strategies, projects, products and services for supply chain processes and functions to our Customer Supply Chain teams. Working in and leading matrixed teams as required, the role will:
Lead your teams in developing the regional tech strategy aligned with the global product teams. Current Regional team structure is Europe (1 x head), Intercontinental (1 x head, Emerging markets (3 x heads) + North America (Direct Ownership).
Coach and develop your regional managers to become effective team members that ship valuable work, focused on data-driven decision making and customer centricity.
Train your team in how to determine and understand your customer’s needs better than anyone, through a combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis.
Directly manage and act as the tech partner for the North America Customer Supply Chain.
Measure the impact of all new work released on your roadmap, close the value loop and ensure adoption.
Ensure that within product you adopt strategies and tools (e.g. Aha) that are set as part of the Tech Transformation Strategy by Director, Portfolio Management and the Product Management Transformation Director.
Represent Regional Tech across the Supply Chain and Therapy Product Teams.
Develop and maintain strong networks and partnerships across internal and external teams, building trusted relationships with regional supply chain business partners.
Work with global Product Management teams to define the supporting Tech strategies that will drive business value into the region and ensure that the regional Tech roadmaps are clearly defined and aligned to the Product Roadmaps and global Tech strategies.
Capture and prioritise Tech demand for the regional supply chain, develop and progress business cases through approval and support project delivery into the supply chain to ensure effective change management and value realisation.
Manage performance of Tech products, services and products for the supply chain. Act as the escalation point for related issues.
Ensure Tech risks to supply chain operations are identified and mitigated effectively. Maintain a ready compliance state that ensures stability within the existing operations and is aligned with future regulatory requirements.
Work with the supply chain to add value through innovative uses of Tech, be an advocate for and have a deep understanding of the supply chain to represent its perspectives in Tech decision making.
Be the driving force for innovation, working with external partners, product managers, DA & innovation teams.
Support BAU tech development activity, ensure product owners deliver tech on time and to budget.
Basic Qualifications:
BA/BS or University degree
10+ years of professional experience in Global Supply Chain Tech
Preferred Qualifications:
Pharmaceutical industry experience
Business partnering and relationship management with internal and external Tech and non-Tech stakeholders, influencing, negotiating and gaining sponsorship
Developing Tech strategies, business cases and programmes of work to deliver the strategy including management of third-party service providers
Managing delivery through an Enterprise scale Agile framework
Leading Tech change across a matrixed organisation operating across differing time zones, geographies, cultures or time zones with the goal of deploying and integrating Supply Chain Tech and Digital solutions, with external business partners and preferably within an Enterprise scale Agile framework
Performance managing Tech services, risk management techniques and processes and regulatory requirements for Tech systems and their operational support
Supply Chain Planning and Management processes including Warehousing and Distribution, Demand Planning and Management, Customer Services
Digital, Tech and IT solutions relevant to Customer Supply Chain including SAP ECC / APO / SCM / IBP / C4Hana / Hybris, Microsoft Azure and Power BI
