The Law Enforcement Operations ("LEO") team are digital first-responders protecting Snapchatters and the public at-large. The team handles all global law enforcement requests for user data, and responds to these requests as legally permissible and consistent with Snap policies, while simultaneously safeguarding the privacy rights of our users. We're looking for a Senior Law Enforcement Response Specialist to join the Law Enforcement Operations team!
What you’ll do:
Accurately and efficiently process legal requests from US and global law enforcement, including complex legal requests
Participate in on-call rotation for law enforcement emergency requests and internal escalations, which requires working atypical weekday hours and some weekend days each month
Design and implement new operational workflows, track progress with a project plan, consider stakeholder impacts, and apply change management methodologies to drive successful adoption
Use technical expertise to regularly identify tooling enhancements to improve the LEO agent and law enforcement experience
Tap into subject matter expertise to actively engage in policy improvement discussions
Identify opportunities to iteratively improve on process, tooling, and policies; provide recommendations and liaise with cross-functional teams to implement solutions
Serve as a partner and subject-matter expert for our vendor teams
Participate in Quality Assurance (“QA”) program: review team members’ work product and provide constructive feedback on a regular basis
Create and deliver internal training materials
Participate in trial appearances as a Records Custodian on behalf of Snap
Collaborate with in-house counsel on escalations
Model leadership behaviors and serve as an active mentor for others across our global organization
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Strong attention to detail, with proven ability to accurately analyze lengthy legal documents
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating ability to structure thought process and adjust messaging depending on the audience
Proven track record of identifying gaps and implementing new processes
Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks by communicating clearly and frequently with leaders
Demonstrated ability to track deliverables, and work independently with minimal supervision
Strong data analysis skills, including the ability to work with large data sets to solve business problems and provide practical business insights via data visualization software (e.g., Advanced Excel, Looker, Tableau)
Previous experience reviewing sensitive content (e.g., in a moderation-related role)
Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, across multiple levels of an organization
Experience driving process optimization projects, and a keen eye to identifying performance improvement opportunities
Experience in developing and managing project plans, timelines, dependencies and risks
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and align project objectives
Experience in change management activities, including designing and executing on communications and training plans
Willingness to travel within the US and participate in testimony appearances on behalf of Snap
Minimum qualifications:
3+ years of experience working in law enforcement, legal, compliance, technology, or a related field
Preferred qualifications:
Experience working directly with law enforcement in a professional setting
Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, political science, sociology, public administration, international relations, computer science, or another related area of study

Compensation
In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.
The base salary range for this position is $78,000-$117,000 annually.
This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
