We are looking for a Manager, SMC Marketing to join Snap Inc’s global Small and Medium Customers (SMC) organization. This role will lead marketing strategy for multi-channel events programs with the goal of driving advertiser acquisition and revenue growth. The role will build marketing strategy for global events and closely align with cross-functional teams (Revenue, Business Development, Global Brand Experience), to bring events to life. 

The ideal candidate is a data-driven marketer who brings directly relevant experience in strategizing on marketing for events programming. 

What you’ll do:

  • Work cross-functionally to develop end-to-end marketing strategy for various SMC audiences, with the goal of driving new advertiser acquisition and revenue growth through events

  • Work closely with sales and revenue teams to determine appropriate event audiences based on business goals and tailor marketing and strategy to each audience

  • Manage vendors and collaborate with internal stakeholders to produce events ranging from in-person tent poles to virtual events and gatherings

  • Closely collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Global Brand Experience to produce events focused on business results

  • Craft overall narrative strategy–including presentations, scripts, organizing client panels, videos–to position Snap’s advertising solutions at SMC events

  • Collaborate with lifecycle marketing and data science in order to ensure alignment of post-event and measurement strategy

  • Support content creation for marketing materials to support events including presentation decks, print material swag, event branding materials

  • Own project management and contract negotiations related to event production

  • Travel often to oversee events, sometimes internationally

  • Stay ahead of industry trends in order innovate on events marketing

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Proven track record in developing marketing strategy for multichannel event programming to drive well defined business goals

  • Keen understanding of business goals and how to create events that drive these goals for specific audience segments

  • Experience developing and managing budgets while creating impactful event experiences

  • Experience working within defined marketing budgets and resources

  • Strong project management skills, particularly in a rapidly changing environment

  • Ability to work across multiple functions and stakeholders to execute complex events strategy

  • Experience leading internal content, creative design and web development teams

  • Self-starter with strong collaboration skills and ability to multitask. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and is comfortable with ambiguity

  • Experience or familiarity in working with the media or digital advertising industry

  • This role will require domestic and international travel

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience 

  • 10+ years experience in marketing with a focus on events

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience with events marketing

  • Passion for change, Snapchat, and creativity!

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

Zone A (CA, WA, NYC):

The base salary range for this position is $168,000-$252,000 annually.


 

Zone B:

The base salary range for this position is $160,000-$239,000 annually.

Zone C:

The base salary range for this position is $143,000-$214,000 annually.

This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
