Position Description:
Crafts new solutions and re-platforms applications within Cloud-based architectures (Amazon Web Services (AWS)). Utilizes automation pipelines leveraging DevOps concepts and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools. Develops and deploys full stack Web applications using Angular, Node.js, RESTful Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), HTML, JavaScript, and Cascading Style Sheet (CSS). Develops and deploys streaming application using Kafka, Python, and Java. Supports Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), streaming, WebSockets, and database drivers (Oracle Databases and Stored Procedures). Makes use of Machine Learning (ML) models and high computational matrix mathematics and data science via NumPy and Pandas. Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications and conducting studies of alternatives. Analyzes and recommends changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development experts and management.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing 12 factor compliant, Cloud ready, Java and Spring Boot applications in an enterprise applications environment.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing 12 factor compliant, Cloud ready, Java, and Spring Boot applications in an enterprise applications environment.
