Job Title: Senior Software Engineer
Position Overview:
We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer. You will be a part of a growing, innovative team and will work closely with the development and product management teams innovating to enhance our existing software and develop new products. As a key member of our engineering team, you will drive technical excellence, mentor junior engineers, and shape the future of our technology stack.
What you will do:
- Lead the design, architecture, and development of complex software solutions using MS SQL Server and Postgres Databases.
- Define and implement cloud-native architectures on the Azure Cloud Platform, leveraging services such as Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Storage, and Azure DevOps.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams, driving best practices for security, performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and drive alignment on architectural decisions.
- Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and innovation within the team.
- Conduct code reviews, perform architecture reviews, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in software engineering, cloud computing, and related fields.
What you will need:
- 8+ years of experience in software development using MS SQL Server/Postgres databases, with a strong proficiency in SQL/T-SQL and DB administration.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying cloud-native applications on the Azure Cloud Platform.
- Proven track record of architecting and delivering scalable, reliable, and secure software solutions in complex environments.
- Deep understanding of cloud computing concepts, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, as well as expertise in Azure services and capabilities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor team members to achieve excellence.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset for identifying and addressing technical challenges.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
- 8-12 years of professional experience
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in engineering or computer science or equivalent experience
