Our team is focused on developing a streamlined, dependable company that includes service operations and technology solutions for Finance, People, and Associate Digital Experience (ADE). We also provide a variety of services such as procurement, supplier portfolio management, merchandising master data, and analytics. From developing HR chatbots and virtual assistants to creating invoice solutions and facilitating legal changes, we help drive efficiency across Walmart globally.

What you'll do:

As a Staff, UX Designer, you’ll set the vision for the best customer experience and create a space for cross-functional colleagues to collaborate. You will use your knowledge of the Design Thinking process to collaborate with partner teams, facilitate conversations, and develop a talented UX/UI team. You’ll employ your great strengths in storytelling to present your vision and product design rationale in a compelling, convincing manner to cross-functional partners and the leadership team. While working with partners to determine a shared plan forward that balances business and technology considerations, you will lead a team to create and champion experiences that are highly usable and compliant with our design system.

Enterprise Business Services (EBS) is an organization that sits within Walmart Global Tech. Our mission within EBS is to enable Walmart's global enterprise to spend smartly, act digitally, and build trust with associates and shareholders. Our team aligns to Risk Technology, which supports Global Governance initiatives and products. We build tools that digitally transform the user experience for Walmart associates in Global Ethics & Compliance. 



What you'll bring:

  • Bringing curiosity and dedication to solving problems and delivering value for our users  
  • Leveraging design best practices when creating user flows, mockups, prototypes, workshop documents, and hand-off files  
  • Using various communication methods to convey data-driven design decisions, document design engagements, share information, and work towards alignment and mutual understanding  
  • Defining vision and strategies for each project through domain expertise, internal and external best practices, and by identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation  
  • Building collaborative relationships with key partners by driving priorities aligned to business goals, communicating and prioritizing design efforts, and gaining buy-in from executive leadership  
  • Providing overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs  
  • Building a team environment by collaborating closely within our team and cross-functionally with our partners across the business  
  • Mentoring Senior Designers, Designers, Associate Designers, and Apprentice Designers in UX/UI design methodology and principles while providing guidance, feedback, and support throughout the design process to ensure high-quality deliverables and continuous growth 
  • Working quickly and efficiently without sacrificing quality and knowing how to adapt to ever-changing priorities. Capable of working on multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that quality deliverables are achieved on time.  
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest industry news and developments.  
  • Contributing to team processes and standards to help establish best practices for design & research.  
  • Having exceptional communication & presentation skills, both written and verbal.  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and 5-7 years industry/related experience  
  • OR Master’s Degree and 4 years industry/related experience  
  • OR 8 years industry/related experience  
  • OR UX certification (example: Nielson Norman) and 6 years industry/related experience  
  • Experience leading a team of UX/UI designers. 
  • Experience working with Figma as the primary design tool. 
  • Experience working on enterprise tools and/or solving for complex problem spaces. 
  • Experience working with multiple team members and stakeholders (Business, Product, Engineering). 
  • Experience working with and/or contributing to a design system. 
  • Experience creating and handing off designs in design software. 
  • Experience communicating UX design decisions and UX best practices using written, verbal, and visual methods. 
  • Knowledgeable of current ADA/inclusivity standards and able to apply them.  
  • Demonstrates sound business judgment and ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements, and prioritize.

  • Demonstrates consideration for user needs, business goals, and technical constraints. 
  • Summarizes your process for building stakeholder relationships, fostering collaboration, and leading a team.
