Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Northridge, CA is currently seeking a Systems Engineering Manager 2 with a background in Research Development to support various programs within the Advanced Weapons Business Unit.
Reporting to the Director of Hardware Engineering, the Systems Engineering Manager 2 will be responsible for supporting the implementation of strategic goals and objectives as applicable to the Sensors and Algorithms Department to support business objectives. The role will ensure engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with the organization's established policies and procedures.
Success in this role will reflect experience in overseeing the creation, optimization and implementation of advanced algorithms driving our RF-centric sensors and subsystems. Familiarity with Electronic Warfare Systems, RADAR Systems, and/or other RF-centric systems and methods is required. Experience with system architecture and design, sensor performance simulation and analysis are necessary as this position will require technical leadership and know-how in developing and transitioning concepts from Technology Development to Engineering Manufacturing Development (EMD) to Limited Rate Production. Skills and experience in multi-discipline engineering, systems integration and test are preferred.
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility in Northridge, CA. There is no remote / hybrid / telework available for this position. Relocation assistance, while not guaranteed, may be available.

Salary Range: $151,900.00 - $227,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
