You will be managing a team of engineers that will consist of individual contributors and other managers supporting the Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC) Modeling and Simulation Software (MSS) Task Order for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). As a manager you will be spending upwards of 20% of normal work week provided coaching, mentorship, administrative direction, and support for a team of engineers. Specifically, you will be

  • Managing a team of 8-10 direct reports
  • Supporting the SWDC program through staffing, recruiting and managing attrition
  • Managing your team and sub-teams if applicable, through performance management such as performance review, and compensation analysis.
  • Supporting the career development of your direct reports.
  • Interacting with SWDC program leadership on technical matters, resource planning and providing guidance through engineering execution.
  • Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with Cyber Systems Engineers.
  • Acts as cyber technical lead for both classified and unclassified networks
  • Periodically conduct a complete review of each system's audits and monitor corrective actions until all actions are closed.
  • Internal team champion and mentor for high assurance development methodologies and robust documentation.
  • Lead Proof of Concept feature development with opportunities to present research to our customers.
  • Provide redlines to engineers and feedback to senior leadership and the customer

We are looking for candidates who are self-starters and who take ownership. The candidate must demonstrate customer intimacy and experience as an engineering leader.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years Information Systems Security experience or a Master’s degree with 3 years of Information Systems Security experience a required
  • Must have a DoD 8570 IAM level II (or higher) security certification (examples: CISM, GSLC, CCISO, or CISSP)
  • Must already possess at least an active DoD Secret clearance
  • Prior technical leadership (SW lead, test lead, product owner, scrum master, etc.)
  • Experience making hiring decisions
  • Experience conducting disciplinary actions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Cyber Security, Information Security, or similar STEM related discipline, to include 4 years of ISSO/ISSM experience with RMF
  • Previous experience supporting a SIPRNet environment is highly desired
  • Diverse classified information systems security / information assurance background
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Prior experience communicating with customer and program leadership
  • Knowledge of ACAS, NESSUS, SPLUNK, SCAP, POA&Ms, NIST, DIACAP, NISPOM, system audits, vulnerability scanning, and RMF package development preferred

Salary Range: $115,000.00 - $172,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
