Channel Marketing Manager

This position is responsible for leading the development and execution of channel marketing activities and programs for a key omni-channel retail partner.  This includes the channel marketing and demand generation of both mechanical door hardware and electronic smart locks. This position will lead creation of new strategic ideas and promote collaboration with the sales and brand marketing teams to achieve business goals and growth for Allegion.  The role includes direct responsibility for marketing, promotions, partner co-marketing, product launches, content and demand generation strategies and execution with our key retailers.  The position will work to create a winning and inclusive culture as we work cross-functionally and foster collaborative relationships and partnerships with all internal partners.  Preference given to candidates living in Greater Atlanta, Georgia.  Open to considering candidates living within Eastern or Central time zones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop the annual omni-channel marketing program for our presence with a key retail partner.

  • Execute on brand, product and channel priorities via overall marketing plan, including in-store merchandising planning and execution; eCommerce and digital presence on retailer’s website and online channel; retail media planning, monitoring and optimization;  promotional planning;, and leading product launch campaigns with retailer.

  • Collaborate accordingly with Sales, Brand Management, Product Management, and Field Training Teams.

  • Lead content aggregation, distribution, and optimization within assigned retail channel.

  • Understand target audience(s)’ key needs / desires and purchase behavior in purchase journey.

  • For retail line and business reviews, partner with sales team to develop the recommendations for go-forward support plan, which may include packaging and plan-o-gram components, as well as the annual marketing plan to support the assortment recommendation.

  • Lead and execute all in store merchandising assets from ideation to concepts, business case development, vendor management and in-field execution with retail partner(s). Support all retail assortment resets by partnering with the retailer to author the RIG / set instructions. Partner with the field sales team and merchandising support teams for product merchandising reset completion.

  • Support internal and external vendors including assisting in development of Statement of Work and project oversight ensuring completion on time and on budget.

  • Support new product introduction marketing efforts including collateral development, demand creation plans and communication strategy, retail launch plans, and training tools and execution.

  • Develop strong partner relationships with retail partners to assess customer need, develop strategic retail marketing plan, drive alignment of channel marketing budget, and ensure execution with retail partner.

  • Support development and management of channel marketing budget, expenses, and forecasts.

  • Analyze data to track marketing effectiveness (i.e., merchandising, promotion, digital) and identify new opportunities or strategies. Build business cases, oversee financial analysis, and gather internal support/approval for various initiatives supporting the channel.

  • Represent Channel Marketing in cross functional meetings within the organization.

  • Maintain partnerships amongst cross-functional teams such as Sales, Brand and Product by sharing data, updates, and strategy to support marketing related initiatives.

  • Understand, analyze, monitor, action and continuously improve strategic internal and external partner KPIs, VOC, competitive activities, trends, etc. for marketing, planning and growth purposes.

  • Prepare and create final content for monthly sales calls.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Finance, or Business required.

  • 5+ years of channel marketing or related experience

  • Strong business acumen with proven strategic planning and a track record of profitable growth

  • Experience with the implementation of growth and marketing initiatives that lead to stronger market advantages.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to execute/implement on strategic design.

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities (able to clearly, concisely share information to appropriate stakeholders internally and externally with appropriate level of detail/context), strong presentation skills.

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and influencing skills at all levels in the organization.

  • Ability to travel 10-15% (to company corporate location, or if not in Atlanta, to primary corporate location and on market field visits)

Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

  • The expected Base Salary Range: $82,500-$145,800. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

  • Bonus Eligible: Yes
