Primary responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):

The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversight of UK and international corporate income tax filings and requirements

  • Ownership of the Group’s transfer pricing policy, including maintaining transfer pricing documentation, managing implementation and advising on the impact of business change on current policies

  • Advising the business on tax implications and required corporate structure for overseas expansion and Total Platform partners

  • Supporting the Head of Tax on M&A transactions

  • Managing tax integration of newly acquired and newly established entities globally

  • Advising on and driving development of systems, tools and processes improvements to reduce efforts on compliance activities while maintaining financial control and accuracy of submissions

  • Managing the development and implementation of Pillar II reporting for the Group

  • Review half-yearly and full year tax provisions and UK statutory accounts disclosures together with group Effective Tax Rate calculations and forecasts

  • Monitor global tax developments in relevant jurisdictions and managing the communication of changes and assessing the impact on the Group

  • Supporting Head of Tax to manage Group tax risks and governance framework including SAO, CCO, tax policy and other country specific initiatives around the world

  • Liaising with HMRC & overseas tax authorities with respect to audits

Key Requirements/ Qualifications

You will have demonstrable experience of: 

  • Qualified CTA or equivalent (ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc.) with relevant experience 5+ years PQE

  • Strong tax accounting skills

  • Strong technical ability to review new legislation and ascertain the potential impact of any changes on the group

  • Understanding of retail tax issues is useful but not essential

  • Good working knowledge of Alphatax

  • The ability to meet deadlines, solve problems with strong analytical skills with detail orientation

  • Comfortable dealing with employees of all levels (including Directors and Heads of Departments)

  • Knowledge of other taxes is beneficial

  • Proactive, ambitious and having excellent business partnering skills

  • Ability to articulate complex legislation to a non-tax audience
