THE ROLE

Using discretion and judgment, with direction from the Manager, assist Team Leader and Analysts who perform ETF investment processing and transaction data quality reviews for various internal systems; ensures the timely and accurate completion of staff activities; assist to develop processes and procedures to successfully mitigate risks. This position must operate as a team with the Director, Manager and Team Leader; assist with the allocation of resources to meet productivity goals that allow the department to meet or exceed client and department expectations.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Performs ETF investment processing and transaction data quality reviews for various internal systems. Identifies risks, causes of risks, and implements appropriate controls to mitigate those risks.

  • Assists the Team Leader to ensure that operating procedures are current, and that staff adheres to department standards, as well as client-specific requirements. Assists the Team Leader in providing staff with the professional standards required of the position, assists in interpreting new rules, regulations, and interpretations as they relate to the unit.

  • Assists the Team Leader in prioritizing, allocating and reviewing work; provides guidance and technical assistance; makes recommendations regarding training, development and other related personnel activities.

  • Assists the Team Leader in the management and allocation of resources within the unit, assigns projects and reallocates workloads, as necessary. Assists in training staff members accordingly.

  • Assists in resolving operational and administrative matters that are of a complex nature. Makes recommendations about problem resolution, consulting with Managers and other Team Leaders when appropriate.

  • Identifies opportunities to leverage technology in order to streamline manual processes. Performs user-acceptance testing for enhancement requests that affect the Investment Operations team.

  • Supports Investment Operations team by attending regular meetings relating to departmental or inter-departmental initiatives.

  • Provides backup support for the Team Leader when the Team Leader is out of the office or unavailable. Escalates issues to Investment Operations Management team when necessary.

  • Assists with special projects and performs additional responsibilities as requested.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent work experience.

  • 2-5+ years related experience preferable

  • Experience working in a diverse environment where production, controls, and daily deadlines are required.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Strong attention to detail, strong leadership skills and demonstrated organizational skills.

  • Thorough knowledge of all security types and attributes of each.

  • Ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.

  • Knowledge of ETFs preferable
