Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain the general building and grounds in a safe and clean condition.
- Perform porter duties, including transporting supplies, assisting with event setup and breakdown, and ensuring cleanliness throughout the venue.
- Operate custodial and other related equipment as required.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, venues, and other public areas around the premises.
- Monitor cleanliness of venues during events to ensure a high standard is maintained.
- Monitor, replenish, and report back stock inventory of consumables, paper products, and maintenance essentials.
- Assist with snow and ice removal.
- Supervise and direct supplemental labor in the above duties as needed.
Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:
- Supervise and lead a crew of up to 4 people.
- Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
- Work independently and as part of a team, exercising good judgment and initiative.
- Maintain effective working relationships with clients, employees, and patrons.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including daytime, evening, weekends, and holidays. Hours may be event-based, and daytime hours are limited.
- Ability to stand, walk, and maneuver for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of safety practices and power tools.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Physical ability to perform prolonged repetitive motions associated with vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, buffing, dusting, and climbing.
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
- Experience in a similar setting is preferred.
Dress Code:
- Uniform consists of a collared shirt, black pants, and closed-toed shoes.
- Appropriate safety gear must be worn as required.
- Personal appearance should be neat and professional.
Compensation:
- Hourly Rate: $20 per hour
- Overtime Rate: Paid after 40 hours weekly
- Sick Leave: Paid in accordance with Washington state law
