Serving Fayette County and surrounding communities in Georgia, 282-bed Piedmont Fayette Hospital offers a full range of care. Here, medical practitioners are supported with advanced medical technologies such as robotic surgery facilities. The state-of-the-art cancer center is comprehensive, offering disease management, therapy, wellness, and prevention.

Our group practice provides anesthesia services at Piedmont Fayette Hospital, Piedmont Newnan Hospital, and Piedmont Atlanta Hospital, as well as at three ambulatory surgery centers.

Case Assignments

General surgery, plastic surgery, obstetrical and gynecological surgery, orthopedic surgery, neurological surgery, pulmonary surgery, vascular surgery and cardiovascular cases

Shifts

4-10s with minimal required call. Optional call shifts available for pay or post call week off.

or

1 overnight shift per week alternating between Thursday and Friday nights. Can be a combination of three 13 hour shifts or one 13 hour shift and one 24 hour shift.

Our group practice has served the greater Atlanta area since 1970. It includes 37 anesthesiologists, 25 CRNAs, and 85 CAAs working together in a care team model.

This care team model means that we focus on giving everyone a voice, while supporting, respecting, and helping them to deliver care excellence.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Pre-anesthesia assessment
  • Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
  • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
  • Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
  • Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
  • Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree from an Accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant Program
  • Complies with American Academy of Anesthesiologist Assistants licensure guidelines
