How We Work?
Our hybrid work style—2-3 days in the office—gives us the face-to-face time to have creative conversations, meaningful meetings, make quick decisions and build relationships. And it’s flexible enough to give you the space to do your best work.
We seek team members to work with development teams, ensuring secure coding practices are integrated throughout the software development lifecycle. You will provide security guidance to developers and stakeholders, fostering a culture of security awareness within the organization. As an Application Security Engineer, you will identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities in software applications through tool integration, code reviews, and security assessments.
Mission and Goals:
Manage and drive our bug bounty program working with client, web, and mobile teams to collaborate with researchers to resolve issues, improve our knowledge, and adjust our process.
Participate, advise, and drive application security reviews and threat modeling.
Own documentation and procedures surrounding application security reviews leading by example for what successful application security reviews look like.
Evangelize security training with development teams in secure coding techniques including use of supporting toolsets.
Build and drive program level activities through the use and publication of metrics and dashboards that clearly show program and tool impact and outcomes.
An effective communicator; well-honed influencing and negotiating skills.
Solid problem solving and analytical skills; able to quickly digest issue/problem encountered and recommend an appropriate solution.
Competencies:
A builder with a software engineering mindset and experience. You don’t just find issues you know how to explain them and fix them.
Experience with programing languages (e.g. C/C++, Java) and scripting languages (e.g. Phyton, Go)
Experience in application security, software development, or related areas with a strong understanding of secure coding practices and application security frameworks.
Experience with desktop, mobile, and web application development and security.
Familiarity with common security and tools (e.g., static analysis tools, software composition analysis, etc.)
Familiarity and ability to explain common security flaws and ways to address them (e.g., OWASP Top 10, CWE).
You use data to inform and influence decision making.
You have strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
You build simple solutions to complex problems.
You iterate and improve on existing processes and programs.
Written and spoken English at least on B2 level.
