As part of the Workforce Solutions GBU, the Renew Solutions organization was recently established to expand HP's device renewal capabilities (remanufacturing and refurbishment) and capitalize on the growing global demand for sustainability.

The Category Organization within Renew Solutions is responsible for the regional growth of Renew category. Under their umbrella they will be accountable for Demand orchestration within the region, supply planning and inventory management, sourcing and purchasing of supply and will be the key interlock to the markets and commercial teams on the timing and availability of Renew products.

As the Sourcing Lead, Renew Managed Device Offering for the newly created HP Renew Category Organization, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of Renew Category functions within the WS GBU. The position, reporting directly to the Head of Category will help build this organization from the ground up by establishing best in class practices and elements that drive organizational excellence and support HP sustainable goals. This role will support Renew Solutions overall business in the Americas by creating, overseeing, and executing a worldclass regional demand & sourcing orchestration strategy.

  • Management of the regional Demand funnel & regional sourcing strategy for HP Managed contracts featuring Renew products
  • Supply/Demand Orchestration; Ensuring just in time volume for managed print contracts and tracking of supply & demand funnels
  • Consolidation and supply management of all future supply from end of lease on contract devices & open market purchases; requires identification of sourcing partners, negotiation of procurement and cadence development, and long-term relationship development
  • Creating, sustaining, and growing relationships with all internal stakeholders such as MPS pursuit teams to understand volume and timing requirements & suppliers to drive on time delivery of volume targets for Managed contracts
  • Inventory and lifecycle management: Tracking and disposition/value recovery of E&O, Aged inventory, and oversight of end-of-life processes
  • Supplier QBR & KPI Tracking; identify opportunities for improvement and actions to address
  • Pricing negotiation support with commercial managed teams to drive profitability targets
  • Work with the Remanufacturing operations team to identify/resolve any issues that may arise

Requirements

  • First level university degree (Finance, Economics or Operations management preferred)
  • 6-10 of experience in supply chain, finance, returns/refurbishment, procurement, or operations
  • Advance level of Ms Office Excel and PowerPoint
  • Very strong Analytical and Reporting skills
  • Vocal in challenging “business as usual operating models” and recommending innovative processes / solutions for services supply chain domain
  • Conversant with Project Management skills to support cross-functional teams;
  • Ability to interact effectively through exceptional communication and possess presentation skills with attention to detail.
  • Very strong influencing skills combined with proven relationship management skills who can work in matrix environment.
  • Customer Operations & Supply Chain knowledge will be a plus.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proven experience in IT Product category management preferably in the renew/ refurb electronics or IT industry. Understanding of sustainability practices in the electronics industry is a plus.
  • Business planning skills, multidimensional.
  • Financial planning and modelling skills, comfortable to manage high complexity business planning and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills at senior management internally and externally.
  • Knowledge of promotional marketing processes and practices.
  • Negotiation and communication skills to achieve cost targets
