ABOUT THIS POSITION

Right now, Waystar is looking to hire an outstanding Accounting Analyst to add to our team! The role will be primarily responsible for the calculation of partner commissions and the creation of special handling invoices. The Analyst will be responsible for monthly trend analysis and review/research of differences related to customer billing. Will also assist as needed in documenting accounting policies and procedures.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Primary analyst in charge of partner billing 

  • Calculation of Partner Commissions: 

  • Review of all partner commissions contracts   

  • Calculation of partner commissions from invoicing data     

  • Research and respond to inquiries from business partners regarding commissions calculations 

  • Ensure that new accounts are correctly associated with partners if applicable  

  • Review all new partner accounts on a monthly basis with the Partner Sales team to ensure accuracy  

  • Establish a process with Partner Sales team where contracts and contract amendments are effectively communicated to Accounting 

  • Invoicing – Special Handling 

  • Review and Audit 100% of special handling invoices back to original sales contracts 

  • Review new special handling contracts each month and create effective system notes in NetSuite  

  • Calculate Special Handling invoices monthly as part of monthly billing process 

  • Document Accounting Policies and Procedures  

  • Assist with review and documentation of accounting policies and procedures, including utilizing public filing information from other  entities as benchmarks and examples 

  • Perform miscellaneous tasks and projects as assigned by the Controller and Assistant Controller 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Bachelor degree preferred 

  • 2+ years of experience in accounting/billing
