The Operational Excellence and Quality Lead applies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives. Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope. May act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision making process. Exercises independent judgement within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution. Ability to handle most unique situations. May seek advice in order to make decisions on complex business issues.
This role is responsible for managing improvement initiatives to enhance processes for a product or service and developing quality assurance metrics and tracking them. The role develops schedules, budgets, and resource plans for initiatives and manages project teams. The role communicates progress to stakeholders, drives innovation, and supports integration of quality initiatives in activities.
Responsibilities
• Consults with business leaders to identify relevant internal, client and external processes for optimization; leads review of audit and assessment results to identify trends and issues, perform root-cause analysis, develop recommendations for resolution and track effectiveness of remedies.
• Analyzes the key drivers and metrics vs historical performance, budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans and communicates results to leadership for decision support, plan reviews and operational reviews.
• Develops and directs development of schedules, critical deliverables, budget, resource allocation plan, and other support requirements for process improvement initiatives.
• Manages activities of supporting project teams and internal partners; ensures progress against established plan and makes determinations based on analysis of business information to alter or update schedule and resource allocation to meet product requirements and schedules.
• Communicates initiative progress, escalations, and issue analysis to stakeholders; collaborates with management and internal development, manufacturing and service delivery partners to implement changes to resolve escalated issues and produce solutions.
• Develops enhancements, modifications, and corrections to existing testing methodologies and processes to ensure continuous improvement to quality assurance standards.
• Drives innovation and integration of new technologies and quality initiatives into projects and activities in the organization.
• Contributes to the development of performance standards, measures metrics in order to ensure that organization standards are being applied consistently and any gaps are identified for performance improvement.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members and contributes to their growth within the organization.
Executes compliance assessment & quality assurance activities
Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Quality Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in project management, quality, lean six sigma, or a related field.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Knowledge & Skills
Using project planning tools and software packages to create, manage, and track project results.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated experience coordinating and directing matrixed teams and resources.
Ability to create and manage program schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to effectively communicate program plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at management levels
A strong track record in Project/Program Management gained through significant proven experience of managing international IT transformation
