Job Description

ROLE 
You are a user experience designer that enjoys making applications, services, and processes simple. You are familiar with usability and user experience standards and can apply them to technical topics. You have experience conducting user research and usability studies. Areas such as accessibility, logistics management, infrastructure, and mobility, are familiar to you. As an individual contributor, you will work with a geographically dispersed team of project managers, service lifecycle managers, executives, UX designers and engineers to support the design of applications, services, and systems.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Evaluate new and existing interfaces, forms and applications that support customer processes, make recommendations, and implement solutions to improve the user experience.  
  • Conduct usability studies, user research, design thinking workshops, and testing on existing and new applications. 
  • Analyze user feedback and activity to iterate and enhance the user experience of products.  
  • Collaborate with designers, developers, and stakeholders to create user-friendly applications. 
  • Create written findings reports around user  research and best practices justifying recommendations and design decisions for upper-level leadership and present in large client settings. 
  • Design and develop wireframes using industry-standard tools. 
  • Focus on improving and growing the user experience function within customer systems, including but not limited to developing templates, a methodology, personas, and processes.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant experience: OR 10 or more years’ relevant experience in lieu of degree. 
  • Experience as a UX Designer, Usability Analyst, User Researcher, or similar role. 
  • Strong background of customer service and working with multi-functional teams. 
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.  
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices, including user research, interaction design, usability testing, content strategy, information architecture, and analytics. 
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite 
  • Experience with wireframing and prototyping tools, like Figma, Adobe XD, or similar 
  • Excellent writing and communication skills 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Power BI) for documentation, presentations, and team collaboration. 
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining design systems and guidelines to ensure design consistency and scalability. 


U.S. Citizen with Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance. 


Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry recognized UX certifications 
  • Working knowledge of accessibility, WCAG, Section 508 
  • Background working with SAFe Agile teams 
  • Background working with SAP Fiori apps and Microsoft Power Apps 
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS and familiarity with front-end development

Pay Range:

Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
