Core Responsibilities

  • Indirect oversight of all custom projects across Industrial Refrigeration – Americas.  Utilize tools, industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout the entire project execution to drive accountability and ownership across all and achieve the design within the set budget and delivery date.
  • Develop, manage and maintain up-to-date MS Project Timelines inclusive of all critical milestones, key interdependencies and resource constraints, applying appropriate project scheduling techniques
  • Lead and support cross functional teams to achieve the customer’s goals and priorities.
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to all stakeholders about progress, schedule and change orders. This includes to ensure the project schedule and financial status is clearly established, understood, and maintained.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with outside vendors.  Must be able to implement decisions and guidance in the best interest of the company and customer to achieve on-time and on-budget results.
  • Assist in estimate preparation bringing technical build knowledge to the initial client concept/design.
  • Contribute to the development of a safety culture by ensuring the project complies with all applicable safety standards.
  • Provide sales team assistance with Terms and Conditions pre/post order, and ensure all functions adhere to the contractual rights and obligations through the process to satisfy customer needs and protect the company
  • Conduct specification reviews for each YPS project with Quality Assurance, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to assure compliance to customer requirements.
  • Coordinates with internal service groups to meet production schedules, quality and standards of work (i.e., systems design, quote development, order management, lean tools, etc.)
  • Project management of multiple complex projects at one time. Employ creative thinking to formulate goals/objectives and integrates them into a cohesive project plan to satisfy customer requirements.
  • Keep abreast of all Custom Solution projects to ensure that proper documentation and materials are present
  • Lead cross functional project with internal and external functions
  • Monitors project execution and adjusts plans with Master Planner & Customer
  • Prepare project plans/schedules, reports and budgets
  • PM team is responsible for entering Customer orders in SAP Projects/Sales Order.
  • Coordinate with all departments to resolve any issues relating to custom contracts.
  • Coordinate shipping details with the traffic department.
  • Complete pre-paint/final inspection of packages in shop.

Organizational Relationships

  • Will report to the Project Management Manager (PMM)

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • 3-6 Yrs experience
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Projects, Project 360, PPM360 or other project mgmt. programs.
  • Experience with CAD software (Inventor)
  • Experience of set construction and rigging, truss, etc.
  • Knowledge of complex terms and conditions
  • SAP experience is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications (Word, Excel Access, Projects, Power Point) as well as internet software is required.
  • Team player with ability to collaborate cross functionally.
  • Inquisitive with strong interpersonal skills and outstanding attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
