Job Summary

Join our team at Corewell Health and make a difference in the lives of our patients every day. As part of the nutrition team, you'll assist with the care of our patients by assisting in the preparation, portioning, and serving of food and beverages. You'll also be responsible for maintaining standards of food safety and sanitation. Most importantly, you'll have the opportunity to provide excellent care and service to our patients and their families, making a real difference in their lives.

Essential Functions

  • Sets up, stocks and prepares assigned station for service.
  • Serves food and beverages to established standards using safe food handling practices.
  • Replenishes stock and maintains safety and sanitation of assigned areas.
  • Monitors temperatures, self-service areas and product volumes as assigned.
  • Busses dirty dishes, maintains condiment stand and dining areas as assigned.
  • Provides excellent customer service. Attentive to special needs of customers. Interacts in a respectful manner.
  • Identifies and communicates opportunities for waste reduction, service improvements and/or revenue enhancement to leadership per established guidelines.

Qualifications

Required

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and communicate effectively in English.

Preferred

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Food service experience
