We are looking for an experienced Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) looking to take that next step. You will be responsible for maintaining the overall security posture of our accredited systems and serve as the principal advisor on all matters involving the security of these systems. The ISSM is located in Braintree, MA., works closely with local ISSO, local IT and Security teams, and consulting with an ISSM in North Carolina and Virginia.

Candidates must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance required for the role, due to the nature of the programmes we deliver for our customers.

Job Description

Duties:

  • Developing, maintaining, and overseeing the system security program and policies for our accredited systems
  • Deep understanding of the risk management framework (RMF) process
  • Proficiency with NIST, FIPS199, FedRAMP
  • Ensuring compliance with cyber security policies, concepts, and measures when designing, procuring, adopting, and developing new systems
  • Implementing the Assessment and Authorization process for classified information systems including creation and submission of accreditation packages thru eMASS system.
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of systems functions, security policies, technical safeguards, and operational security measures
  • Developing and implementing an effective system security education, training, and awareness program
  • Possessing sufficient experience, commanding adequate resources, and being organizationally aligned to ensure prompt support and successful execution of a robust system security program
  • Obtaining/maintain NISP Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) access in order to effectively manage all security authorizations for systems under your purview
  • From a technical standpoint, handling SCAP and STIG of systems.
  • Performing other duties and responsibilities as delineated in Section 3.6 of the DAAPM.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or mix of education and experience in a related technical field
  • 4+ years of ISSO experience, including experience with package creation and eMASS filings
  • Experience with building accredited systems from “out of box” thru ATO approval
  • CISSP certification
  • Security+ or equivalent DoD Approved Baseline Certification
  • Must have US Government security clearance

Desired Skills:

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Cybersecurity
  • 4+ years IT work experience
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF), including NIST SP 800-37, -53, and -53A compliance
