Job purpose:

  • Drive and contribute within and across product teams for the technical solution design, implementation and continuous improvement of Vaccines Manufacturing systems in alignment with Agile and DevOps principles, working closely with Architects, Product Owners, and Product Managers.
  • As Vx Manufacturing Portfolio Release Train Engineer (RTE), oversees Vaccines Manufacturing quarterly prioritization planning sessions (Vx Manufacturing Big Room Planning / Product Increments Planning), coordinates our product owned dependencies and trade-offs, coordinates with broader Release Train Engineers.
  • Establish trusted relationship with relevant business stakeholders, and Tech partners to enable solutions for Innovation, Performance and Trust in the Vx Manufacturing processes.
  • Endorse a “T-Shaped” role demonstrating both depth and breadth across key engineer competencies e.g. Software Development, Testing, DevOps, Data Science/Analytics, Lifecycle Management, etc. and the ability to successfully collaborate with experts from other subject domains.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with Tech product owners and Portfolio leads to deliver technology solutions in alignment with Smart Manufacturing ambitions for GSK.
  • Demonstrates advanced project management skills. As such, ensures in partnership with the business project leader, the project management of technical development/deployment projects in Vaccines Manufacturing areas. This includes project coordination, project planning & resourcing, cost management, problem solving and communication.
  • Contributes to release planning and roadmaps, developing plans based on business priorities and business cases, and working closely with Product Owners and Product Director.
  • Contributes and aligns solutions to the Target Architecture working closely with Technical Architecture team.
  • Design and deliver the optimal set of products and services which meets the business strategy and requirements.
  • Accountable for partial execution of the Manufacturing product roadmap. May complete hands-on configuration, providing detailed designs and wider impact assessments.
  • The ability to think big picture and customer first is imperative.
  • Help drive process improvements and root cause analysis in partnership with business function to improve overall performance
  • Keeps relevant technical documentation up to date in support of the lifecycle plan for audits/reviews.
  • Pro-actively engages in experimentation and innovation to drive relentless improvement e.g. to UX/DQ/DI and reducing technical debt/risk.
  • Support Vx Manufacturing product teams in Hybrid agile mindset development, agile process establishment, and associated tooling implementation.

Why you?

Basic qualifications:

  • Master degree : Business & Information Technology or Equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical project implementation, roll-out, and support in manufacturing setup.
  • Relevant platform experience includes but not limited to SAP manufacturing & logistics, Manufacturing Execution Systems, ..
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/GCP) and with data transformation and visualization tools
  • Proven experience on applying Agile methodologies on regulated processes.
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience of building relationships, agreeing and holding external service partners to account
  • Operating in a fast-paced business critical environment.
  • Experience working in manufacturing environment with Good Manufacturing Practices and GxP environment is preferred.

  • Willing to work in international environment that may require some travel essentially within Europe per business need.
  • Fluent in English, French language being an differentiating element.
