Position Summary

We are looking for Actuarial Lead Director for Medicare Dental Business to provide actuarial support and strategic leadership. The Actuarial Lead Director responsibilities include:

  • Leads Medicare Dental pricing and valuation decisions that cover all states, including GE and DSNP members
  • Works cross-functionally across the Dental organization, with responsibilities including pricing, experience studies, rating tools, product development analysis, network support, market support, planning, forecasting, and reporting
  • Influences business partners including Market teams, Network, Finance, Operation and Product to focus efforts and achieve profitable growth.
  • Key subject matter expert to address any desk review or audit inquiries from external regulators for all Aetna Individual Medicare bids
  • Serves as primary POC and SME for Medicare Dental related issues with a wide audience including peers within AETNA and external consulting firms.
  • This role has a Sr. Analyst as a direct report.



Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree along with a minimum of 10+ years of relevant healthcare experience
  • Minimum of ASA required
  • Dental, pricing, forecasting experience are highly desirable
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong technical, analytical, and financial skill
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross functionally


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior Medicare pricing/rating system/forecasting experience preferred, but not required
  • Prior Dental and Vision experience preferred, but not required



Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$100,000.00 - $231,500.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
