Functions managed may include: financial control/budgeting and consolidation, personnel processes, audit/compliance, premises, and coordination of certain projects, associate training, service quality, process improvement, business continuity, or communication. Requires a thorough knowledge of the department or business unit's functional area or products. Working knowledge of general bank policies, programs and procedures and financial/accounting practices. May have full management responsibility over a team or may manage one level of managers.

The Team:
Bank of America has an opportunity for a Business Support Manager within the Alternative Modelling Group (AMG), a Global Risk Analytics (GRA) team.
Global Risk Analytics (GRA) is a sub-line of business within Global Risk Management (GRM). The GRA team provides quantitative capabilities supporting global risk management and capital management and develops a consistent set of risk and capital models and analytical tools that support decision making across the bank.
As part of GRA - Alternative Modelling Group (AMG) builds alternative models, using innovative methods, which challenge and benchmark risk and capital champion models across the enterprise; and has a vision to challenge what is possible across Risk and Capital Modelling.
The role will involve enabling the team's core function by driving the delivery of business critical projects, such as onboarding models onto the target state IT infastructure.
In addition the role will facilitate the good functioning of the team through strong governance, resource management and business adminstration
Overview of the Role:
The successful candidate will be able to successfully manage multiple high profile and technical projects to tight deadlines for senior stakeholders; as well as support the Business Management function across a number of areas.
• Responsible for running multiple technical projects concurrently, particularly the implementation of models onto the organisation’s target-state infrastructure, ensuring adherence to team business practices as well as Enterprise project governance standards
• Additionally responsible for business management processes as agreed with Business Management Lead
• Support delivery through strong project management practices and provide project management expertise to modellers
• Provide Project Management Office (PMO) capabilities across a number of teams within AMG&QS. This will include QA/QC on JIRA tasks; governance; Model Development Lifecycle tracking, reporting and routines management
• Provide business support to AMG&QS team leads as necessary – this may include capacity planning, reports and returns, hiring activities, managing routines, etc)
• Explore opportunities to automate project management and business management processes and reporting
• Explore ways to optimize the team operating model for project management and business management practices
• Work under minimal supervision on these goals and develop effective working relationships with stakeholders inside AMG&QS and across GRA
Required Skills:
• Self-motivation, self-direction, organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex fast paced environment without sacrificing quality or timelines
• Has a ‘control’ oriented experience and mindset
• Demonstrable project and business management experience
• Willingness to be accountable for meeting all deliverable dates for task assignments Proven track record of identifying sub-optimal processes and then fixing them
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
• Process oriented and detailed oriented
• Positive attitude and open to feedback
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including to senior audiences
• Ability to foster strong collaboration among team members and help team solve problems
• Able to work independently with limited supervision
Desired Skills:
• Degree qualified - Bachelors / Master’s degree
• Experience in financial services or a related field
• Excellent proficiency and hands-on experience with JIRA (Horizon tools)
• Working knowledge of risk management
• Programming skills including Tableau, Python, Alteryx, SQL – or the desire to learn these skills

Pay range
$80,200.00 - $126,200.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
Discretionary incentive eligible
This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
