We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in Power Transformers to manage our projects in this area. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in electrical engineering, specifically focused on power systems and transformers.

Your responsibilities
- You lead accordingly to optimize technical and cost criteria on the basis of customer specifications and input of the electrical designer
- You review existing CAD designs and identify elements that need to be updated or modified to align with branding standards
- You define the type and configuration of the transformer tanks, the position and details of the cooling system and other exterior components
- You complete design modeling with the Computer-aided designsystem so as to subsequently produce manufacturing drawings
- The design phase also includes compiling the approval documentation for customers (dimensional and transport drawing etc.), preparing structural analysis and initiating pre-orders for the various components
- You have the responsibility to preparate the customer approval documentation, structural analysis and the initiation of pre-orders for the various components
- Your responsible of tender preparation and other activities, technical cooperation with mechanical and electrical designs, workshop, project management and suppliers, as well as direct contact with customers
- You will need to demonstrate initiative and the ability to work independently as well as confidence and good communication skills in English. You must also have basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering, including the field of large-scale transformers
Your background
- You have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
- You have good basic electrical engineering and transformer-specific knowledge
- Good German and English language skills
- You will be required to work closely with our mechanical and electrical designers, workshop and suppliers and must be capable of working and contributing in a team
- You have professional experience in mechanics
