About the Role

As a Security Specialist, you will contribute to a variety of areas including: 

  • Assisting the FSO and TRSS Security Team with implementing the TRSS industrial security program, and ensuring security requirements are met for the company and its clients.
  • Ensuring contract security compliance with the National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM) and DoD Contract Security Classification Specifications (DD-254’s).
  • Administering day-to-day security programs and processing personnel for clearances and program nominations.
  • Communicating with project managers and clients to work with document control systems.
  • Handling employee building access and visit authorization requests and processing personnel reports.
  • Working as a team player by demonstrating strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Demonstrating critical thinking to analyze moderate problems, and exhibit flexibility in their work.

About You

You’re a good fit for the role of Security Specialist if you meet the following criteria:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. national security clearance.   
  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience required
  • FSO Training Certificate preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in the industrial security field
  • Thorough understanding of security databases including, DISS, NISS, NBIS, and eApp
  • General understanding of Information Management Systems used to manage security data
  • Proficient with Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Thorough understanding of the NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM Rule)
  • Ability to provide clear guidance to employees on NISPOM and SEAD standards
  • Strong understanding of personnel security (PERSEC)
  • Understanding of Foreign Ownership Control and Influence (FOCI) regarding industrial security programs
