Test Technical Specialist

Description -

What a Test Technical Specialist does in HP:

  • Supports Test Technology Domain like Firing System, Drop Characterization, Life Test/ Reliability and Vision/Print.
  • Work closely with Core Team in Corvallis, San Diego and India team to take ownership of mature test tool mechanical design ownership and support in SEA.
  • Work with Technology Domain Team members to ensure lab test instruments are calibrated and verified on a regular basis.
  • Participates with engineers in testing, debugging and troubleshooting of new and existing equipment, software application and products.
  • Work with local Tooling vendors to localize new test tools build in SEA, to lower manufacturing cost.
  • Work on SDL line on Proto tooling set up and development and able to debug and troubleshoot on new and existing tooling.
  • Own and maintain Technology Domain Test Tool Platform Technical documentation.
  • Provide Tool expertise support to R&D and Manufacturing HP partners.
  • Works on assignments that are highly complex in nature where a strong degree of independent judgment, initiative and technical knowledge are required to resolve problems.
  • Leading and managing ISO14K, 45K and 50K for lab compliance.

Individuals who will do well in this role in HP, usually possesses:

  • Minimally Technical Diploma in Electrical/ Electronic/Mechanical Engineering and 5 or more years of experience.
  • Able to interpret electrical/mechanical drawings, schematics, printouts, specifications, and test procedures.
  • Advanced knowledge of the field of electro-mechanical technology and software
  • Ability to organize technical issues and drive to resolution through strong negotiation skill.
  • Ability to simplify process and project management skill.
  • Strong initiative, innovative and work independently with growth mindset.
  • Experience in CAD/CAM modelling skills (Preference for CREO One Space Designer) and 3D printing experience is a PLUS.
