What you'll do

As a Financial Control Manager, you’ll be accountable for the delivery of statutory and external disclosures, working on simplifying and standardising the disclosure production process and promoting a culture of data and information quality in the team.

You’ll set the control frameworks and deliverable governance framework aligned to our overall strategy, ensuring adherence to the strategy, operating model and process architecture principles.

In addition, you’ll:

• Actively participate in strategic initiatives and support onshore teams
• Drive a continuous improvement culture in the team
• Support the RFDT programme from disclosure automation perspective
• Set and manage internal controls
• Establish strong analytical procedures over the disclosures

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for an individual with excellent transferable experience of working in a large multinational financial services environment, preferably in an external reporting team. You’ll have a good understanding of the accounting standards in terms of interpretation and application.

You’ll also have extensive experience leading, motivating and directing a small team, and ideally have experience of global working.

Furthermore, you’ll need:

• A relevant qualification and proficiency in accounting and accounting standards
• Experience of implementing business process and procedural change in a complex business environment
• Strong experience in financial control or external reporting profiles
• The ability to implement operating model and strategic change
• A proven ability to drive culture and generate several ways forward to achieve team objectives
