Position Summary

The Investment Associate, National Investment Team is part of the Office of the Chief Investment Officer at Fiduciary Trust International and plays a pivotal role in advancing the firm’s long-term investment strategy and business objectives. The Associate operates across strategic initiatives that shape investment direction and drive performance, collaborating closely with senior leadership and cross-functional partners. Position location may be New York City or Radnor, PA (the Greater Philadelphia Area).

How You Will Add Value

Strategic Responsibilities:

  • You will partner with the Director of Portfolio Management on high-priority strategic business initiatives
  • You will act as a proxy or delegate for the Director when needed
  • You will lead strategic projects through to successful completion with full accountability
  • You will ensure strategic alignment across departments to support firm-wide investment goals
  • You will contribute to operational oversight of the investments platform
  • You will address issues across investment operations, compliance, marketing, and digital enablement
  • You will navigate complex priorities to drive initiatives that support long-term investment strategy

Teams & Collaboration:

  • You will liaise between the investment team and Portfolio Management, Relationship Management, and Asset Allocation
  • You will collaborate with Digital Strategy, Marketing, Trust & Estates, and Investment Operations teams
  • You will work across departments and business functions at senior levels
  • You will engage in cross-functional business management tasks
  • You will operate in a dynamic environment requiring strong communication and organizational skills

What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role

Experience, Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related quantitative field
  • 2–5 years of experience in wealth management, investment banking, or asset management with exposure to investment strategy, portfolio operations, or business management
  • Progress toward or completion of CFP, MBA, or equivalent advanced certification is a plus
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance environment in wealth and asset management

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in MS PowerPoint and Excel (Power BI highly desirable) for data analysis, modeling, and preparing executive-level presentations. Must be comfortable quickly learning and utilizing new financial technology and digital platforms.
  • Experience with CRM systems such as Microsoft Dynamics
  • Experience with investment management software or digital strategy implementation projects preferred

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for strategic project execution
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage and influence stakeholders across departments
  • High level of professionalism, ownership, and initiative
  • Comfortable working independently and managing dynamic priorities

This role requires three to four days in the office (either New York City or Radnor, PA).

Compensation: Franklin Templeton offers employees a competitive and valuable range of total rewards—monetary and non-monetary — designed to support their well-being and recognize their time, talents, and results. We expect the base salary for this position to range between $90k - $100k, depending on level of relevant experience, plus discretionary bonus.
