Job Description:

  • Understand complex systems with wireless interfaces.
  • You will be involved in concept/system architecture, design, integration and prototype build/debug/ testing across multiple engineering disciplines (electrical, firmware, software).
  • Work on the connectivity/wireless software stacks (4G cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth) to meet/ improve product needs and implement automated certification, functional, and compatibility testing.
  • This role involves developing solid testing platforms with a concentration on connectivity and wireless HW/SW stacks for cellular 4G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, etc. to enable seamless edge experiences for vulnerable patients.
  • Work with and mentor junior engineers on root-cause issues reported by QA/ Field and customer feedback in wireless domains.
  • Develop bench evaluation capability (hardware + firmware + cloud/IoT) to allow for performance measurements & support execution of verification plans and protocols.
  • Assist and mentor junior engineers in trouble shooting and debug of system-level issues that involve full-stack solutions (i.e. hardware + firmware + cloud/IoT)

Requisite Skills & Experience:

  • 5+  years of experience developing complex products involving hardware and a significant level of embedded software (embedded C/ linux).

  • Strong design and build skills, experience with low-level systems software and device driver programming and experience with commercially released hardware/software products.
  • An intellectually agile engineer who thinks of the deliverable as an entire solution rather than a portioned product.
  • Should be willing to learn & not be afraid of getting your hands dirty
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Ability to be in-person at ADI’s Wilmington, MA campus for at least 75% of the time
  • Prior experience with medical device development is a plus
