Salesforce is looking for a Technical Localization Program Manager, Marketing, based in Seattle. The position includes the efficient and scalable localization of digital marketing content, maintaining high standards of language accuracy and consistency, and striving to further develop our processes to include new technologies. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of localization principles, technical proficiency in localization tools and software platforms, and extensive experience in technical localization program management, preferably within a marketing organization.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Technical Proficiency

    • Application of localization tools and software platforms to facilitate efficient and scalable project workflows (e.g., Continuous Localization model for Localization Automation)

    • Partner with technology teams to drive improvements to existing tools or develop use cases for new technological solutions.

    • Support design and implementation of efficient and scalable end-to-end localization frameworks tailored to various content types within marketing

    • Provide a consistent global experience through application and ongoing iteration of our localization strategies.

  • Project Planning and Coordination.

    • Plan, implement, and oversee digital content localization projects from initiation to completion.

    • Manage timelines and achievements, and track progress against established goals.

    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including content creators, translators, developers, and marketing specialists.

  • Quality Assurance.

    • Coordinate with our agency partners to deliver on-time and on budget.

    • Collaborate with our in-house language managers to maintain high standards of localization accuracy and consistency.

    • i18n/l10n testing experiences are plus

  • Collaborator Communication.

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for partners regarding project status, updates, and challenges.

    • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among internal partners and global teams.

  • Continuous Improvement.

    • Find opportunities for web localization process optimization and efficiency improvements within the localization workflow.

    • Stay updated on industry trends and standard processes in digital content localization.

  • Training and Development:

    • Provide training and support to internal teams on localization processes and standard methodologies.

    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the localization team.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of technical localization program management experience, preferably in marketing organization.

  • Deep understanding of localization principles, processes, and tools: TMS technologies (Smartling, Phrase, Worldserver), TMs, Glossaries, Term databases. 

  • Knowledge of digital tools and content management systems (WordPress, PageBuilder, AEM, Drupal)

  • Knowledge of AI technologies (MT, MT QE, MT PE/HPE) and potential application in localization workflows

  • Familiarity with internationalization standards such as Unicode and CLDR.

  • Ability to work in different cultural environments across many time zones.

  • Highly demonstrated project management skills including scope management, resource planning, risk assessment, task tracking, and budget management.

  • Experience of working with PM tools (e.g., Asana).

  • Results-oriented, proactive, and determined attitude.

  • Thrives in a creative, fast-paced environment and works well under pressure.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and able to set expectations across international and US teams.

  • Fluent in at least 2 languages is a plus.

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $128,300 to $176,500.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
