JR59110 Senior Manager, Warehouse & Logistic

As the Logistics and Warehouse Senior Manager at Micron Semiconductor Malaysia (MMY), you will be responsible to manage Traffic/Logistic, Materials Operation, Chipstock Store, Subcon/Sample/Recall/RMA Store and SpecTek Store by providing strategic leadership to enable the error-free distribution of physical goods for both internal and external traffic requirements. In collaboration with the Assembly and Test Leadership (ATLT) and the Finance, Tax, and Sales departments, you will help formulate and implement budgets and policies based on company strategies. You will be responsible for ensuring legal, fiscal, and ethical compliance with regulatory requirements. Working closely with other departments and suppliers, you will help to ensure that customer requirements are met while maintaining product and service quality and consistency. You will negotiate and coordinate with external suppliers to alleviate global constraints while meeting costing goals. Duties will also include managing staffing goals and supervising other managers and staff, establishing and communicating department goals, and monitoring overall performance.

Responsibilities and Tasks

Provide Strategic Leadership

  • Provide strategic leadership of internal and external logistics
  • Develop strategies with the Assembly and Test Leadership (ATLT)
  • Innovate with internal and external suppliers and partners to meet global transport constraints
  • Develop, communicate, and implement ATLT strategy in the Logistics department
  • Serve as Micron logistics representative for world-wide external vendor consortiums
  • Monitor transportation industry trends
  • Participate in strategy development with the Assembly and Test Leadership (ATLT)
  • Develop, communicate, and implement ATLT strategy
  • Ensure that policies and procedures are created, maintained, and followed

Oversee Functional Area Service Delivery

  • Administer systems to ensure error-free shipments
  • Interface with Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Tax, and Logistics departments to meet customer and compliance requirements
  • Manage the Logistics supply chain
  • Negotiate and coordinate global shipping with external suppliers and partners
  • Ensure global compliance with shipping and trade rules and regulations
  • Coordinate with the Tax and Finance departments to comply with company financial and international customs requirements
  • Oversee integration activities (as and when needed)
  • Provide Logistics and Finished Goods input, direction, and project resources for mergers and acquisitions
  • Coordinate Logistics strategies with joint venture partners
  • Collaborate with the Tax, Finance, and Sales departments to establish sustainable systems strategies

Provide a Safe, Compliant, and Ethical Work Environment

  • Support and contribute to developing, modifying, and executing company policies
  • Manage organizational structure, staffing, and culture within the Logistics and Store departments

Team & People Management

  • Supervise other managers and staff through coaching and succession planning
  • Manage performance of direct reports and that of the overall team while providing learning and growth opportunities
  • Lead staff meetings, department meetings, and department communications

Requirements:

  • Possess Bachelors Degree in Business Administration/Management, Engineering Management or related course of studies.
  • At least 10 years of experience in management or leadership experience and in production/manufacturing environment.
