Te Tūranga – About the role
In this role, you’ll design, develop and maintain solutions that align with FSNI standards and are delivered on time. You’ll translate business needs into smart application designs, support development and automation testing, and contribute to design reviews and technical documentation. You’ll also troubleshoot production issues through application analysis, code updates and functional testing to keep our systems running smoothly.

In this role, you’ll also:

• Ensure that CI systems, development environments, processes, and standards are clearly delivered. 
• Collaborate with the wider IT teams to ensure architectural, operational, delivery, and handover guidelines are adhered to throughout the delivery process
• Provide application support including go lives
• Strive towards best practices whilst keeping a pragmatic view of timeframe and delivery

He kōrero mōu - About you
You bring a strong Continuous Integration, Continuous Development mindset, champion high coding standards and enjoy contributing to code reviews. You’re keen to work in an agile Scrum team and have solid knowledge of XP and Lean practices. You manage stakeholder expectations confidently, think critically and know when to balance best practice with pragmatic decision‑making. You’re comfortable using tools like JIRA, communicate ideas clearly, and ideally have experience working in a retail environment.

You’ll also have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in a Technology related subject
• Experience with data and process modelling e.g. BPMN, Data Models, etc
• SAP Certification in relevant Functional areas will be an added advantage.
• ABAP (3 years +) or FIORI (2 years+) experience
• BAS and integration into Fiori Launchpad in Cloud Portal
• API Management and building Fiori Apps which consume these APIs 
• Advanced ABAP Development: Expert-level proficiency in ABAP, including the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP)
• CDS Development: Mastery of Core Data Services (CDS)
• SAPUI5 & modern UX: Proven ability to build production-grade SAPUI5 applications from scratch, with deep knowledge of Fiori design principles, Business Application Studio, and Fiori Launchpad integration
