Materials Management Assistant– Procurement & Strategic Sourcing -                         

Procurement and Strategic Sourcing professionals are redefining the field of supply chain management. Our value-added department services over 180,000 requisitions annually, finding the right vendor at the right price, for the right delivery. We actively participate in high-level planning and proudly support world-class care.

The storeroom helper stores and distributes inventory items, and some non-inventory items. Determines all internal stocking of gases. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program and safety standards. Receives order forms and locates stock and delivers supplies throughout the facility. Decision making ability of stocking I.V. solutions to determine stock levels and expired stock. Signs for all items received by the Hospital to include the proper identification of item to purchase orders. Logs all “Out of Stock” situations to insure proper expediting by the Department Manager. Attends mandatory in service and other training as required.  Responsible for displaying courtesy and sensitivity to our customers. Meets commitments and responds promptly to customer needs.

This is a full time opportunity from Wednesday - Friday covering shift hours from 7:00am – 3:00pm, Saturday-Sunday covering shift hours from 8:00am-4:00pm and rotating holidays, at NYP Westchester. Located in Bronxville, right across from the Metro North Train station.

Required Criteria

• Knowledge of warehousing and distribution principles
• Operates electric pallet jacks and uses other moving equipment
• High School Diploma or Equivalent Certificate
• Uses computer to obtain stock information
