About the Team 

Our India-based Transformation Centre is dedicated to building in-house skills and knowledge of RX systems and processes. We focus on reducing reliance on external partners, improving project outcomes, and enhancing our capabilities while maintaining an inclusive, collaborative, and supportive team culture. 

About the Role 

As Director of Software Engineering, you will lead a talented team in developing cross-functional software products that drive transformation for RX and our customers. You will provide local leadership, champion our inclusive culture, and collaborate with senior leaders to innovate and deliver value. 

Responsibilities 

• Lead and develop technology teams, fostering a culture of inclusion, growth, and innovation. 

• Collaborate with senior leadership to create and implement strategies for software development and business transformation. 

• Encourage new ideas, diverse perspectives, and creative solutions from all team members. 

• Utilize industry best practices to guide technical standards and ensure high-quality outcomes. 

• Provide mentorship, feedback, and resources to empower team members to achieve their goals. 

• Ensure fair and equitable management practices, including hiring, training, and performance development. 

• Promote continuous learning and professional development within the team. 

• Champion accessibility in our products and work environment. 

• Support all other duties as needed to help the team and organization thrive. 

Requirements 

• Experience in leading software engineering teams or projects, with a focus on collaboration and innovation. 

• Understanding of large, complex systems and ability to manage multiple priorities. 

• Familiarity with software development methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall. 

• Ability to leverage technical metrics to drive effective decisions. 

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, adaptable to diverse audiences. 

• Experience with data management, database technologies, and software development languages (such as Java, JavaScript, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, .Net, Windows, UNIX) is helpful, but not required for all candidates. 

• Commitment to continuous learning and adapting to new roles and responsibilities. 

• Experience with project planning, budgeting, and resource management. 

• Ability to mentor and develop others, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.
