Learning Operations Manager – HR Shared Services (India)

We are hiring a Learning Operations Manager to join our HR Shared Services team in India. This role is a mix of operations leadership, team management, and partnership with our Talent Development (TD) function. You will be responsible for ensuring that learning programs run effectively at scale, while also strengthening how we plan, govern, and continuously improve learning operations.

Talent Development at Applied is on a transformation journey to deliver impactful and scalable learning experiences that help build critical capabilities across the organization. The Learning Operations team will play a central role in enabling this vision through consistent, high-quality execution and data-driven governance.

About the Role

While you will oversee day-to-day delivery, your primary focus will be on building a structured, scalable operating model and leading a team that can deliver consistently in a fast-paced environment.

You will work closely with the TD COE, acting as a reliable operations partner, and play a key role in bringing more predictability, stronger governance, and better use of data into how learning programs are delivered.

The role is part of the India HR Shared Services organization and a member of the India HRSS leadership team, providing an opportunity to contribute not just to learning operations, but to the broader shared services transformation journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end learning operations across regions, ensuring consistent and high-quality execution
  • Partner closely with the Talent Development team to translate learning plans into structured and executable delivery plans
  • Bring discipline and predictability to planning, scheduling, and delivery in a high-volume environment
  • Use data and reporting to generate insights that support program governance and decision-making
  • Manage multi-country delivery, balancing global consistency with local execution realities
  • Own LMS operations including course setup, learning paths, and issue resolution
  • Manage vendors and ensure quality delivery aligned to expectations
  • Oversee financial processes including purchase orders and invoicing
  • Lead and develop a team – set clear expectations, delegate effectively, and build capability beyond transactional execution
  • Coach the team to become more proactive, stakeholder-aware, and solution-oriented
  • Drive improvements in processes, tools, and ways of working as part of the overall transformation journey

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in learning operations, program management, or shared services environments
  • Proven experience in managing and developing teams
  • Ability to operate at both execution and strategic levels
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, especially in working with COEs and cross-functional partners
  • Comfort working with data and using insights to guide decisions
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms and learning delivery models
  • Ability to handle high-volume, fast-paced environments
  • Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills
  • Experience working across regions or in multi-country environments is preferred
  • 10–15 years of relevant experience

Why Join Us

This role offers the opportunity to lead a team, partner closely with Talent Development, and help shape how learning operations evolve within HR Shared Services.
