Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Intern to join our team at Micron, a leading semiconductor company. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment. The intern will be responsible for developing a system to optimize material consumption and meet our efficiency targets.

Scope:

• System Development: Design and implement a system to monitor and control material consumption in the manufacturing process.
• Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Process Improvement: Collaborate with the manufacturing team to develop and implement process improvements.
• Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on material usage and efficiency metrics.

Deliverables:

• Material Consumption System: A fully functional system to track and optimize material usage.
• Efficiency Reports: Regular reports detailing material consumption, efficiency improvements, and cost savings.
• Process Documentation: Comprehensive documentation of the system and any process changes implemented.

Skill Sets Required:

• Technical Skills:
  • Basic knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python).
  • Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Educational Background:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Previous internship or project experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
