Senior Product Designer
This is a hybrid role with a mix of remote and in-office working.
Current work authorization for Canada is required for all openings.

What We Do
The Senior Product Designer is responsible for leading the design process from concept to launch, creating design concepts, wireframes, high-fidelity-mockups, prototypes, and conducting user-testing. This role collaborates with other designers, developers, business analysts, product owners and marketers to design intuitive and efficient user experiences and ensure successful
implementation of designs. In addition, the designer will support design initiatives such as userresearch, focus groups, usability testing, and the creation and maintenance of design guidelines and standards, style guides and pattern libraries. Finally, this role will also involve helping monitor and coach junior designers, providing guidance and feedback to help them grow and develop their skills.
How You’ll Make an Impact
-Lead the design process from ideation to launch, by driving user research, wireframing, prototyping, user -testing, and design validation.
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our users, market, and product vision to inform the design process and decision-making.
Create and conduct user research studies and analysis to inform the design process and decision-making.
Translate business and user requirements into elegant and intuitive design solutions.
Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our design processes and methodologies, and suggest improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and user satisfaction.
Produce high-quality design deliverables, including wireframes, prototypes, and designs, to support the end-to-end design process.
Document the design process, including user research findings, design decisions, and iterations, and create comprehensive design documentation for stakeholders.
-Collaborate with other designers and cross-functional teams to understand and translate business and user requirements into elegant and intuitive design solutions.
Participate in cross-functional meetings and project planning sessions, providing input on user needs, project goals, and timelines.
Work closely with product managers, engineers, and data analysts, to gather feedback, iterate on designs, and ensure timely delivery of projects.
Facilitate design workshops and brainstorming sessions to gather ideas and feedback.
Communicate and present design solutions to stakeholders, using visuals and other tools to help them understand designs.
-Create and maintain design systems, patterns, and guidelines that enable scalable and consistent design across products and platforms.
Actively research and evaluate design industry trends and emerging technologies, and incorporate relevant ones into designs as appropriate.
Ensure that design standards are established and maintained, and that designs are consistent with established guidelines.
-Work closely with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and in line with the design vision, and adhere to WCAG and AODA design standards.
Regularly review and test implemented designs to ensure they meet user needs and requirements, and are compliant with established standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve any design-related issues that may arise during implementation.
Document design decisions and changes made during the implementation process to maintain a clear record of the design evolution.
-Mentor and coach junior designers, providing guidance and feedback to help them grow and develop.
Provide constructive feedback to junior designers on their design work, including design principles, best practices, and design standards.
Identify areas for improvement and provide guidance and support to junior designers to help them overcome challenges and improve their skills.
Champion a supportive team culture, encouraging knowledge-sharing, brainstorming, and peer feedback among team members.
What We’re Looking For
Completion of a University degree or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience in product design.
Experience leading and managing the design process from concept to launch.
Strong understanding of design systems, and experience creating and maintaining design libraries.
In-depth knowledge of web and mobile design principles, accessibility, and user experience best practices.
Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
Proficient with design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Zeplin and InVision.
